bleh

I think I need to apologize for the lack of interaction with people and updates to my blog lately.

I've been pretty sick the last 3 or 4  months which has taken away a lot of motivation to do much.

I haven't been feeling up to streaming a lot lately because no games seem to tickle my fancy currently, that'll change soon though, summer drought is near it's end.

Another reason is because I'm moving back home this week so I've been prepping for that and have been pretty depressed about it as well.  I would have liked to have tried sticking with it here for at least another year or so but I can't afford it anymore.

Though to be fair I've been lonely as piss here with no friends other than Jonna who I can't spend all my time with since she has a busy life and boyfriend.

I just felt like I had more potential here in Florida I guess, I just never knew how to utilize that potential and stayed in my apartment 99.9 percent of the time here, afraid of going out because my windshield wipers don't work and I'm unfamiliar with the area still. That and I hate going places by myself.

I'll still stream when I get back home but the quality is going to go to absolute crap (I'll be going from 5 MEGABYTES of upload to 500 KILOBYTES, and that's max speed for the area), I also wont be able to stream any multiplayer games because of it (though really, I have no friends to play multiplayer games with anyway)

My first priority when getting back home is to build up enough money to move out and get better internet. don't know where I'm going to go from there, I'm just really tired of being alone all the time, I'm not getting any younger here. tfw no gf etc

wish me luck on the move, going to be using a moving truck this time and for some reason my parents volunteered to fly down here and take the drive with me, so that'll be a lot better than doing it alone, at least I got family.

  1. Aw, I do hope you feel better Austin. Make some huge goals, work, and fight towards them! You can do it! Do some yoga too, it'll alleviate much depression.

  9. Having money being the only thing stopping you means that nothing else did, and that's awesome. Making friends in a new place isn't easy and is very nerve-inducing, but that means you're making a big change and trying something new. Never be afraid of being nervous.

Life is all trial and error. You tried something new and that's what counts. If it didn't work out, that just means the time wasn't right, and you can handle it better when you try again, and dedicate yourself to trying again, or else why did you try in the first place.

Good luck with the move back, get better soon and I wish you the best.

  11. Don't feel like you've failed just because you are moving back in with your parents. Most importantly, don't feel like the move to Florida was a waste of time. It wasn't. You've proven to yourself that you can do something that, from what I gathered from your previous writings, you were terrified to do. Most people don't take those leaps.

Believe it or not, little setbacks like this one are the secret to success. Try to have faith that things happen for a reason.

Chin up, chest out, ever onward Austin! :)

  13. Hey Austin,

I've been a fan ever since the L4D days and, just like what I learned from them, Every thing will change but if you want definite good things to happen, you must put yourself into it.

Don't go thinking that you are alone in this. Nobody's looking down on you, or at least I'm not. I only hope that you can keep doing what you have done and that is to bring us the moments of entertainment as you scream in the most horrendous situations or as you go through the most impossible challenges completely unscathed in video games

You have always made videos that, with your words, tickle my fancy and I look forward to more videos and streams.

Best of luck and I wish you a brighter tomorrow.

  15. Safe travels back home, Austin. I know what it's like ot be limited by funds, but as it has been said, you still have your fans.

One thing I would like to mention, if I'm not being too forward, is your drawing abilities that have been previously exhibited on your blog. I would definitely give you money for an autographed Kilplix sketch if you decided to get into that.

  16. Safe travels, Austin.

I'm sorry that it didn't work out in Florida and that you have to move back, but things will get better. Funds are a big issue for a lot of us.

Another thing, a friend told me (because I stay inside the apartment mostly) that I should just get out and go hang out or something somewhere. Just get out there and meet folks. I mean I don't do it still heh, but staying inside all shut up can be depressing and make you feel...blech. Plus, it helps with getting familiar with the area. I moved from a small town in Southern Georgia all the way up to the DC area. It's still somewhat new, but I've learned my way around, and I'm meeting new people despite my huge trust issues. The price of living is definitely a change as well too.

Anyways, I do hope things work out better in the future.

  17. I've sorta been where you are now, so I understand that defeated feeling. I moved across country, from Nanaimo to Toronto. I drove in a rickety, broken-down old Chevy Tracker, and I barely made the trip.

As soon as I arrived stuff didn't go my way. Friends who I moved out there to be closer to didn't have time for me, family who lived out there resented that I wasn't getting on my feet fast enough, and was a burden. The job I was hoping would be there evaporated. I struggled on for two years before I finally gave up and moved back west.

Oh yeah, and the girl I moved out there for? Didn't work out.

Sometimes it takes a few tries before you find your place. And you've got a fuckton more talent and ability than I do. You entertain people just by being yourself, and that's pretty damn awesome. If I can make it through this kind of bullshit, so can you.
