i've been getting many complaints that my videos aren't showing up in peoples subscription box's on youtube.
I think it has to do with me making my vids unlisted for the blog, then making them public later.
I need your help guys! Confirm this for me, do my videos show up in your subscription boxes? or not at all? if this is happening to many i'll have to do some changes.
They do show up on mine, but only under all the other vids from my other Subs.
ReplyDeleteIt does not show.
ReplyDeletewhat stinker said.
ReplyDeleteThey show fine on mine :/
ReplyDeletesame here i see them...
ReplyDeleteOkay, basicly - if a person has subscribed to a load of people they get alot of videos in that box - so by the time you mark yours back to public it's off the list.
ReplyDeleteYour videos show up in mine just fine exactly at the time when you make them public.
ReplyDeleteThey don't show up until a day or two after I've seen it on your blog probably after you make it public.
ReplyDeleteMine only show up if I haven't watched them on your blog (which is never, since I love hearing about other people's stories). I think Youtube removes it from your Subs box if you have previously watched it without the utilization of the Subs box.
ReplyDeleteThe subscription feed on YT is really fucked up, and for me it shows a weird combination of things, leaving out some new stuff and including a lot of really old stuff. :/ Half the problem I think it because I subscribe to Machinima, and all of their videos clog up the feed. I don't understand why YT can't just make your subscriptions show up chronologically though ... kind of seems to be the most obvious way of doing things!
ReplyDeleteI get them, but it's a little complicated. Say you put a video on YouTube on October 1st, but make it private so you can show it exclusively on here first. Then you make it public on October 6th. The video appears in the subscription box for October 1st, so all videos released after you post, whoever they may be by, are seen first.
ReplyDeletei get them sometimes, i hope this help you in your quest for world domination lol
ReplyDeletewhat scott said
ReplyDeleteThey show up for me after you unlist them, so these happy people that follow the blog, it says that they were added 4 days ago or whenever it was in between the time you uploaded it and unlisted
ReplyDeletewhat Scott said is true for me too. They get released to public subscribers based on day it was uploaded. I hate that it does that.
ReplyDeleteyour videos do show in my subscription box xD
ReplyDeletei didnt even know that there were new vids being posted on yout tube lol (meanining no they arent showing up)
ReplyDeletenot for me~ =\
ReplyDeleteYeah. Pretty much what everyone else was saying. I, for one, am subscribed to some who posts videos every single day (sometimes twice a day), so your videos do show up for me, but sometimes get pushed away by how much this guy posts videos. :/ But yeah, that's most likely what's happening.
ReplyDeleteI'm not complaining, at any rate. I get to see them before they even appear in that subscription box anyways, so hah.
The videos do show up a day after they're on the blog. But yours aren't the only subscribed videos that aren't messed up. Sometimes others don't show up until a week later (actually happened once or twice) other times they appear again, even though I have it so they shouldn't.
ReplyDeleteThey show up for me.
ReplyDeletethey show in mine, granted they get drowned under my other subscriptions, but I usually just click on the tab at the side so it filters all of them so I can only see a subscription I'm interested in watching at the time.
ReplyDeleteDosn't appear in my subscriptions and your videos on here say they are unlisted.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't show.
ReplyDeleteThey always show up for me, I think, as Scott said, it has something to do with people subscribing to gazillion of people.
ReplyDeleteSo basically , if you upload a video on September 24th and list it only on 29th, the video will be pushed back by lots of other videos.
I think this could only be fixed, by you posting videos, without unlisting them.
You should really try doing so for a few times, and reporting back, asking us to tell whether anything changed or not.
Honestly, I think that's the only problem you're having. You may want to upload a few testing videos :)
Well, I don't know; you can always try.
im not having any problems can see them fine
ReplyDeleteI think they're showing up fine in my subscription list. I just checked and the first video listed is "Kilplix craps himself while playing Amnesia".
ReplyDeleteSo I guess the bottom line of it is that for some of us that don't subscribe to a hundred uploaded videos a day (or regularly delete videos from the feed like I do), we can see them just fine, but for everyone else, the video appears in chronological order by the time it was uploaded. So by keeping it 'unlisted', its technically making the video invisible until you make it public, then it'll appear where it should be on the feed. But that means for some people going back through several days worth of uploaded videos to find it.
ReplyDeleteThey show up a few days after they are posted, which is why I come here to watch them
ReplyDeleteI always watch them from your blog first, but it still shows me it in my subscription box when you release them for the public
ReplyDeleteI get your videos right? but i dont get them until a few hours or maybe a day or two after they come out.
ReplyDeleteI don't see your vid.'s in my box anymore :/ I was wondering what was happening...
ReplyDeleteits fine for me
ReplyDeleteYou could also just use another site than youtube to upload the version you are gonna put on your blog, instead of using the hidden video function
ReplyDeleteyou vids come up in subscription, so no stress for me
ReplyDeleteI get them, but several times. I had gotten your Highlights for Resident Evil #2 almost four times
ReplyDeleteI get them in the subscriptions.
ReplyDeleteHowever if the problem continues there's always the option of uploading on another account and keeping that private then later uploading to the main account.
They never come up on the main youtube page, but they work on subscriptions...or r people just to lazy to open that?
