  2. I would have to suggest Dead Space, I found it to be pretty darn scary.

  3. The first game that came to my mind was Doom 3.

  4. Dead space, Fear 1 & 2, Condemned: Criminal origins, the silent hill series, and the fatal frame series.

  5. One i'd say would be Eternal Darkness for the gamecube. That game is supposed to mess with your head while playing. It is suggested to play it in the dark.

  6. My list consist of all the games everyone else has posted as well as one more series:
Penumbra. some of the best games i have every experienced, a real treat. Very similar to the feel of Amnesia. 100% sure you'll enjoy them.

    3 games in all:
    Penumbra: Black Plague
    Penumbra: Overture
    Penumbra: Requiem

  7. I'm sure you'll like Penumbra. A combination of great feel and being defenseless is all you need.
However, I advise to only play Black Plague. The rest might leave you disappointed.

Dead space would be no. 2. It's not as subtile as Penumbra, but that doesn't mean it can't scare you or make you feel uneasy. Believe me, you'll love progressing with barely any health and ammo left.

  8. Dead Space is a good one of mine - scares the shit out of you, and then all of a sudden your out of ammo... nothing like crawling through the deepest reaches of space surrounded by zombies when you can't fight back!
P.S. If you're planning on the Silent Hill series, I would advise you to steer clear of Homecoming and Origins, apparently they aren't that good.
P.P.S. Dead Space 2 is coming out soon - preorder it and you get a bonus prelude story 0.o

  9. Thief: Deadly Shadows. It's atmosphere is close to Amnesia's.

  10. This game is very fun and a ton of things jump out at you, Alan Wake is the best game I have at the moment when the taken jump out and try to kill you is the best. The game is a great adventure and has a good story but is scary at the same time.

  15. Yeah, I'd have to go with Alan Wake. Thing is, it's only for 360, and I'm not sure if you still play that (though you would've had to for the Vanquish demo). In a few days, Dead Rising 2 is coming out. It's not SCARY scary, but it's still pretty frightening, and it's fresh zombies to kill.

  17. http://www.askmen.com/top_10/entertainment/top-10-scariest-video-games.html

From AskMen.com. Yay Google search. Yeah...I tend to stay clear of the horror genre of gaming (except for Left 4 Dead series. The first time I saw clips of it I never found it scary for some very odd reason.)

I hear Robot Unicorn Attack is pretty terrifying as well... *watches the internet get deleted*

  18. Idk, but I always found the original Dino Crisis to have a couple good scares. Also a lot of strategy and action in with it! Try it out first, you may like it :D

  19. Condemned 2: Bloodshot. Go for it, it seems scary.

  20. Whaaaat no one's mentioned Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth yet!? Ye gods, I feel old. It's an older game (It's for the PC and Xbox), but it manages to screw with your head and make you jump and look over your shoulder a LOT. It's considered a survival horror, and is made by Bethesda, so while it's awesome, it can/does have it's retarded Bethesda moments.

I'd suggest watching a few clips on Youtube. Here's the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfQ-Xqt-d0A

Personally, it was scarier and more nerve-wracking to play then any of the Silent Hill games. I recommend it pretty highly.

The Silent Hill and the F.E.A.R. series are pretty full of mindf*ckery as well, which to me is the scariest kind there is.

    Good luck finding something!

  31. I like all of those games the people spoken, and I think Clock Tower 3, Obscure and Bioshock would be good choices too. Bioshock not that much, I don't really know because I haven't played this one yet, but seems to be good even if it don't have pure horror pigment after all. Please, don't kill me if you don't like those T_T
