Goodbye Misty

Our Dog of 11 years passed away today from old age.

I was going to go to the vet to say goodbye to her but she died this morning so I never got the chance.

It's really hard losing something so close, she was a family member and I'll miss her a lot.

Love you misty, I'll miss you always.

My cat of 19 years is starting to get pretty stiff and pained when he walks, so I need to start preparing for the inevitable.

My uncle sent this to us when we lost our dog last year. I hope it'll help you like it helped us: http://www.newrainbowbridge.com/NRB/rbpoem.htm

  14. I'm sorry for your loss. I know how it feels to lose a pet you had for years.... hopefully you'll be better and not feel sad for your dog. Will you still have a skink so it'll be all right.
Don't know if this song is about loss or anything like that, but the title seems like it. Most likely about love....

  16. Man, that sucks... I unfortunately don't have any pets that have passed, but I do have loved ones that have. Misty actually looks alot like my cocker spaniel-poodle mix.

I know this may not be much, but I send my best regards and condolences to you.

  19. Oh jeez, Austin. I'm so sorry. :(

I'm not allowed to have pets, but I have fish. My betta, Albus, was a little over 4 years old when he died. I know it's nothing like a dog, but I really loved him just as much as a puppy. I got a tattoo that was based off of him about a week before he died, so it's like a memorial in a way.

I'm very familiar with the rainbow bridge poem. It's really cheesy, but it helps with the mourning. And if Misty was sick right before she died, she's definitely in a much better place, and she's no longer in pain.

    *hug*

  36. It's always hard when you loose a pet. Not to sound horrid or anything but try to make a good thought out of it.
When my dog died a few years ago, We joke around that she went to heaven with the Pope, because she died the same day the pope died.
    Well, anyway, my condolences.
