so in steam, I make an announcement in the Kilplix group when i'm streaming, thus a popup on EVERY single persons steam (thats in the fangroup) will notify everyone online that i'm streaming, that's how everyone knows and comes to view my streams.
well apparently Steam doesn't do the popups anymore when announcements are made, making them pretty much completely useless now and I have no idea how to notify everyone when i'm streaming.
I'm almost wondering if I should even stream anymore if no ones even going to know about it.
edit: thankfully this is just a glitch and is going to be fixed, I am quite relieved
you could try and post events two minutes before you start streaming saying you are
ReplyDeleteHow about you could like make a site that you just post on when you are streaming, that might help. Just a thought, even though most likely you have already tried that.
ReplyDeleteTwitter.
ReplyDeleteYou could get an app to auto tweet so you wouldn't even have to type anything. If people are interested in your stream, they follow your twitter.
You're usually on at certain times anyway. If the fans are too stupid to work out a little pattern recognition, they can watch the videos in the Library at least, right?
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing to worry about, rawr.
Steam is full glitch at the moment
ReplyDeleteI'm getting sick of the disconnects and sometimes it just take 2 mins to connect (Already checked files nd it's not my pc fault...)
I just suggest you to wait... It will be fixed.
Why don't you notify us on facebook instead :D?
ReplyDeleteor u could make a specific day that ur going to stream on so that we know when to get on
ReplyDeleteOhyeah. People are hooked on their social networking thing. A Twitter is almost surefire and as good as Steam. You can even put the app here in your Blogger.
ReplyDelete...not that I have anything to do with Twitter and social networking *coughantisocial*
Then again, Steam unretarding itself works too.
I think my heart stopped when you said "I'm almost wondering if I should even stream anymore"
ReplyDeleteI usually keep the stream in a tab and if I hear your voice start I stop whatever I'm doing to watch it. So even if it wasn't a glitch I would have still watched, and the video library is also good too.
I think, like almost anyone else that's commented here, that you should post here on blogspot ahead of time when you plan to stream. I would be very sad if you stopped streaming; many laughs were had at the hands of some streams.
ReplyDeleteif you want an extra way to note all your streams, then I suggest you make a Google Calender. You can post each stream as an event and people subscribe to it. You can also link or embed the calendar into this blog.
ReplyDeletei just watch them whenever i notice there are new vids on ur stream
