Love modding games

been playing new vegas, i've got 40 hours into it already, I streamed a good 5 the other day.

Mods make it all the more fun: bullet time, sprint, night vision, better energy weapon deaths, more gore/blood, more perks, buncha tweaks/fixes.

man I love PC gaming, you can pretty much make your game YOUR game, make it how you want it, play it how you want to. it's just so much more involved and personal.

  6. Valter, you are incorrect. PC<Console.

  7. Definitely agree. Mods, and custom content in general really add more to games. Actually, the reason some of my friends and I switched over to PC gaming was because we saw you and your friends playing the custom L4D maps, and we wanted to try them ourselves. xD

  8. hahaha deathpotato, unless you're trying to start an argument I'd say that PC>Console. I know that because the teachers told me the crocodile's mouth always wants to eat the bigger, better value. haha. Also, I agree. After seeing some of your mods Austin, you started me thinking about getting the game.

  9. Amen to that. I love modding Fallout 3 and Oblivion. I also love Half Life 2 singleplayer and multiplayer mods. I am of the opinion (my insignificant, humble opinion) that PC gaming beats console gaming by a long way.

  10. Hey, how bout no console/pc wars now eh?

    Console Advantage : Exclusives
    PC Advantage : Mods

    See? They're both awesome.

  11. Soon, hopefully, neither will have that advantage, as mods will move to console and there will be no more console exclusives... That's my prediction anyway.

  12. If mods move to console, PC is screwed since it costs less to have a console than a good computer that runs the a maxed game.

  13. hear that l4d2 blowed til i modded it

  14. Modding is one of the highlights of PC gaming, no doubt. It is both legal and incredibly fun, where as for consoles it is the opposite: illegal and lengthy to preform.

For the record, there are some things that consoles are better at. Multiplayer games like COD that can be hacked but not modded on a PC are better for consoles as it provides a fair-er game.

  15. Valve ruined modding (vpk's dont work online in competitive modes and servers enforce validation to pak01.dir) because of mathacking.
Gotta love this idiots that try to hack even in a game that YOU DON'T NEED AIM, like Left 4 Dead 2.

  17. PC, FUCK YEAH!
Comin' again to own the Xbox 360, yeah!
    PC, FUCK YEAH!
    Better than the PS3, yeah!

I totally just adlibbed that right now. In other news, PC better have good stuff. Nobody makes games for it anymore and we gotta spend thousands on a decent rig. But mods, man. PS3 has no mods. 360 has no mods. Nobody has mods but PC, and that's one of MANY reasons that we are awesome.

Yes, I am a PC elitist jerkwad. Deal with it.
